Congress lauds Centre for seeking UN sanctions against Masood Azhar
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Lauding the Centre's move to ask United Nations to include name of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar on the sanctions list, Congress leader Shahi Tharoor on Thursday said it is a welcoming step. Tharoor added that the government waited for long to act on Azhar. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shahnawaz Hussain alleged that Azhar is the mastermind behind every terror act taking place in India.
Dera Sacha Sauda's Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case. The godman and three of his followers were sentenced on Thursday. He & three followers were convicted of killing journalist Ram Chander in 2002.
