Hrithik Roshan & Pooja Hegde In An Exclusive Interview With Indian Express
Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro releases on August 12 and he and his leading lady Pooja Hegde are on a promotional spree. One subject that has everybody's attention is how factually correct Mohenjo Daro is. For Hrithik Roshan, that is a non-issue.
Likening this release to his last outing with director Ashutosh Gowariker, Jodhaa Akbar, he said, "I dealt with historians this time exactly the same way I dealt with them during Jodha Akbar. I was then told by many how could I play Akbar who was just 1.7-metre tall and didn't have light eyes? They said it is all inaccurate and wrong. But after the film came out, who is asking these question now?"
He said period dramas are stories, not documentaries. "We are doing films to entertain people, not to pass on literature. It's not a documentary. If the film is good and people are satisfied and they are going through an emotional journey through the characters, then it will be a big contribution," said Roshan.
