Kangana Ranaut has been in news for reasons more than one. But this time, hogging headlines is her latest film Simran. Loosely inspired from the life of Sandeep Kaur, a 24-year-old NRI in the US who got arrested for carrying out a series of bank robberies, Kangana plays Praful Patel aka Simran, with similar traits, yet adding her own style to the character. The film also faced trouble when screenwriter Apurva Asrani accused Kangana for taking away his share of writing credits.
