Asia's Monsoon Nightmare: 900+ Dead in Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka & Malaysia Flood Fury

More than 900 people have died across Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malaysia as extreme monsoon rains and tropical storms triggered massive floods and landslides. Indonesia’s Sumatra saw the highest toll with 435 dead and 406 missing, while Sri Lanka lost 334 people and over a million were affected. Thailand reported 162 deaths and millions were impacted as once-in-centuries rainfall submerged cities. Malaysia evacuated 34,000 residents.
