India’s shooting quest at the Rio 2016 Olympics begin from August 6. The shooting qualification start on this day and it would be the ‘girl power’ from India, who will start the contest for the nation.
While the women’s contest will be followed by the qualification round of men 10m Air Pistol at 21:30 (IST).
Jitu Rai and Gurpreet Singh will be representing India in this format.
Heena Sidhu‘s qualification round for 10m Air pistol women’s category will take place on August 7 at 17:30 (IST).
Trap Men’s 1st day of qualification will have Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Kynan Chenai to bid in this competition on August 7 at 18:00 (IST).
Following this, 10m Air rifle for men will begin on August 8 at 17:30 (IST) having Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang representing India.
Trap Men 2nd day qualification takes place on August 8 at 18:00 (IST).
From India we have Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Kynan Chenai as the representatives the above event.
August 9 will again see some girl power as Heena Sidhu takes part in qualification-precision round of 25m pistol women at 17:30 (IST) and further would be seen in action in the qualification-rapid round at 20:30 (IST).
August 10 will have Jitu rai in action in qualification round of men’s 50m pistol at 17:30 (IST) along with Prakash Nanjappa who takes part in the same event.
Gagan Narang will be in the qualification round of men’s 50m rifle Prone on August 12 at 17:30 (IST) along with Chain Singh.
Gurpreet Singh takes guard in qualification stage 1 of men 25m Rapid fire pistol at 20:45 (IST).
Prior to this Mairaj Ahmad Khan would be into the first day of qualification Skeet Men at 18:00 (IST).
August 13 will have the second stage of qualification Men 25m Rapid Pistol of Gurpreet Singh at 17:30 (IST) and same day would have 2nd day of qualification of Skeet Men at 18:00 (IST).
Mairaj Ahmad Khan will be India’s representative in this event.
On August 14, it will be Gagan Narang and Chain Singh in the qualification of men 50m Rifle 3 positions at 17:30 (IST)
