This is the first time ever that the country has sent a huge Olympic contingent. The number of athletes who are a part of this Olympics are 118. London 2012 Olympics saw 83 athletes participating in the competition from the nation. It is certainly the most-awaited Summer Games ever for India. There are plenty of reasons for that. For first time ever, the country can actually expect good performances for possible podium finishes in various contingents.

I wish them all the luck and want them to win as many medals as they can. I usually like watching shotput, discus, javelin throw. Swimming is also interesting although we are nowhere near to the best in that game. Boxing contingent is out there and looks strong. I will cheer for everyone.
