Sushil Kumar’s hopes of participating in the Olympics remained alive after the United World Wrestling (UWW) said India will retain its quota even if Narsingh Yadav will be suspended for a positive dope test.
UWW media manager Timothy Foley told The Indian Express in an email statement: “By rule they (India) would keep it unless they are unable to fill the spot. We will know more tomorrow (Monday night).”
But if UWW fails to include any wrestler from India in the final roster, WFI and IOA can only resquest IOC and WADA for allowing an entry in the 74kg category.
