The National-Anti Doping Agency, after a marathon meeting, decided to postpone decision on Narsingh Yadav’s dope case after its review meeting on Saturday. NADA said that the whole case will be reviewed again and the decision in the case will be taken on Monday at four in the evening.

“The panel again sat today and reviewed the whole case. The panel will give its verdict at 4 pm on Monday,” Agarwal, NADA DG, said.

“The reason for marathon meeting and the delay in declaring the verdict as a lot of documents needed to be studied and the arguments have been lengthy. We are hopeful that justice will be done,” he added.

Earlier, the NADA was expected to announce the decision on Saturday on Narsingh’s claim that his ‘food or water’ was spiked at the SAI Centre, Sonepat. He also claimed that the whole act was a conspiracy against him.

On July 27, NADA heard Narsingh’s side of story and a day later, the NADA present their arguments to a three-member panel.

Both sides were happy with the hearing and NADA team were hopeful that the verdict in their favour after Narsingh failed to provide enough circumstantial evidence.

Last week, Narsingh was tested positive for an anabolic setriod – methandienone and the wrestler had said that it was a conspiracy against him.

NADA had conducted three dope tests on Narsingh in the last two months. The first one was on June 2 in which the results were negative. But the next two test – June 25 and July 5 – came out as positive.

Narsingh tried proving the conspiracy but the NADA’s case became strong once one of the cooks he had produced to prove that his food was spiked didn’t testify in front of the panel.
