India’s Day 11 schedule, August 16 in IST, India time: PV Sindhu, Hardeep Singh to be in action

Day 11 at Rio 2016 Olympics will not feature many Indian athletes. The only two to be in action are PV Sindhu, who will compete in the badminton women’s singles quarter-finals, and Hardeep Singh, who is the lone Indian Greco-Roman wrestler remaining. Here’s a look at the other major events:

Athletics: 18:20 hrs: Men’s triple jump final. 19:35 hrs: Women’s 100m hurdles Round 1. 19:50 hrs: Women’s discus throw final. 20:20 hrs: Men’s 200m Round 1 Gymnastics. 22:30 hrs: Men’s parallel bars final. 23:17 hrs: Women’s floor exercise final

Wrestling Men’s Greco-Roman 98kg

18:30: Hardeep Singh, who won gold at the 2013 Commonwealth Championships, is the lone Indian Greco-Roman wrestler remaining.

Athletics: 05:00 hrs: Men’s high jump final – Qatar’s Mutaz Essa Barshim (in pic) will be expected to win gold after leading the charts all year. 05:10 hrs: Men’s 110m hurdles semifinals. 05:40 hrs: Women’s 400m hurdles semifinals. 06:05 hrs: Men’s 400m hurdles semifinals. 06:30 hrs: Women’s 200m semifinals. 07:00 hrs: Women’s 1500m Final – If it’s 1,500m , then you know there’ll be a Dibaba at the head of the field. But Genzebe, the youngest of the Ethiopian sisters, hasn’t been at her fastest this season and will be second-favourite behind Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon. 07:15 hrs: Men’s 110m hurdles final
