Surat plant’s steel powers Indian Navy’s latest anti-sub ship
Diamond City's INS Malvan, the latest indigenously built Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Watercraft for the Indian Navy, has been commissioned using specialised steel from ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India's Hazira facility. This is part of a contract for 16 ASW-SWCs, with 80% indigenous content, to replace the Abhay Class Corvettes.
