Pro Kabaddi League 2019

The 7th Edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is all set to kickstart on July 20, 2019. Ever since its inception in 2014, it has popularised the sport of kabaddi with different innovations. Backed by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), and supported by participating members of the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) and the Asian Kabaddi Federation (AKF), the league has witnessed tremendous growth over the past seasons. It is promoted by Mashal Sports Pvt. Ltd and Star India Pvt. Ltd.

Each team will play the other sides twice and the top six will qualify to the playoffs at the end of the league stage. The season will feature 138 matches in a 13-week period. The last round-robin match will be played on October 6.

The playoff format has been revamped ahead of the upcoming campaign. The top two teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for semi-final 1 and 2. The four other sides that make it to the Playoffs will battle each other in Eliminator 1 and 2 to decide who advances to the semi-finals. The winners of the two semi-finals will vie for the VIVO Pro Kabaddi crown in the grand finale on October 19.
