Delhi Capitals will begin their campaign against Mumbai Indians on March 24 at the Wankhede Stadium. They are the only side who have so far failed to make it to finals of the Indian Premier League. After failing to prove
their mettle in the previous editions, the franchise will be hoping to change their fortunes in the coming season. In a bid to strengthen their batting, the team roped in Shikhar Dhawan from Sunrisers Hyderabad. The franchise bought a total of ten cricketers at the IPL Auction 2019 including South Africa’s big-hitting batsman Colin Ingram for Rs 6.40 crore, Axar Patel for Rs 5 crore, Sherfane Rutherford for Rs 2 crore, Hanuma Vihari for Rs 2 crore and Ishant Sharma for Rs 1.10 crore.
