Steve Smith and Joe Root will lead Australia and England respectively in this 70th edition of the historic Ashes series. And that it comes in Australia, will make things significantly tougher for England who were smashed aside 5-0 in the 2013/14 edition. But, England hold the Ashes at the moment having retained it back home in 2015. The three months long series will see the players tested physically and most importantly mentally. It will push both teams to the brink and one can’t expect anything less from a series of such stature. The tour comprises of five Test matches and five one day internationals. The series will, for the first time, see a day-night Test being played between these two rivals.
