A daunting chase - England's 387 is now the highest ODI total at this venue, leaving India with a mountain to climb. It goes without saying that a good start will be imperative if they are to have any chance of pulling this off. Even with the older ball, there was enough assistance for the pacers if they bowled in the right areas, something India failed to do consistently. Given how England's quicks have bowled in this series, expect Jofra Archer, Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson to make the most of those conditions. Do join us back in a bit for the chase.

Buttler's final flourish - Bethell fell short of a hundred, but Duckett brought up three figures before raising the tempo. From there, everyone who walked in understood the assignment and played their part to perfection. Jos Buttler, though, made the biggest difference at the death. His unbeaten 41 off just 13 balls turned what looked like a 350-360 total into something far more imposing. Prasidh Krishna was one of the few bright spots on a tough day for India, although he wasn't spared the late assault either.

An ideal foundation - Shubman Gill lost the toss but ended up getting what he wanted anyway, with India sent out to bowl first. The tourists sprayed the new ball around and drifted onto the pads far too often. Jacob Bethell looked a touch uncertain early in his innings, but he weathered that phase before growing in confidence as the innings wore on. Without Jasprit Bumrah to call upon as a partnership-breaker or Kuldeep Yadav's X-factor through the middle overs, India looked out of answers. Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethell put on 192, the highest partnership for any wicket for England against India in ODIs and laid the perfect platform for a massive total.

Total domination - England have produced a performance worthy of the occasion with the series on the line. It was one-way traffic for virtually the entire innings, and they capped it off in style with 62 runs off the final three overs. India looked toothless without Jasprit Bumrah leading the attack and never really found any semblance of control.

DRINKS BREAK! Success at last for India, and they will hope this breakthrough opens the door. There hasn't been much on offer for the bowlers and, without Jasprit Bumrah or the attacking threat of Kuldeep Yadav through the middle overs, India have struggled to create even half-chances. Teams usually look to double their score from the 30-over mark, and England couldn't have asked for a better platform to do that with 9 wickets in hand. KL Rahul, Arshdeep Singh and Prince Yadav are the ones coming into the side. On Arshdeep's inclusion and whether it was influenced by the success of left-arm pacers at this ground, Gill says that they are not a team that relies too heavily on data. With little assistance on offer for the spinners through the middle overs, they felt going in with four pacers was the right way to approach the game. Feels that they were in a great position in Cardiff until about the 25th over, but then lost wickets in clusters. Believes that it has not been easy to score runs in the last couple of matches, and if they can strike early, they will be in a good position.

The captain of England - Harry Brook feels that the surface looks good, so hopefully they can get the runs on the board and restrict the opposition. Informs that Josh Tongue is back in for Saqib Mahmood. Further adds that the bowlers had a lovely spell in the last game, where they gave away very few runs and also lauds the way Joe Root played. Ends by saying that hopefully they can get the job done.

No Jasprit Bumrah today? That is the buzz from around the ground at the moment. It would be a major blow for India if their premier pacer were to miss this game. Deep Dasgupta reckons Bumrah could be carrying a niggle, which might explain his absence if he doesn't feature today. If he does sit out, the onus will be on the rest of the attack to step up and fill the void.

A chance for a double - England are chasing history of their own. They are looking to secure their first bilateral ODI series win over India since 2018. After breaking new ground with a T20I series triumph earlier this summer, they now have the opportunity to send India home empty-handed from their tour of the UK. Lord's is bathing in sunshine as the players go through their warm-up drills.
