Junaid Siddique's five-star show - With the ball, it was the Junaid Siddique show for the United Arab Emirates. He was the wrecker-in-chief, claiming a magnificent five-wicket haul that included both openers and the set batter, Thaker. Muhammad Jawadullah offered great support with an economical spell, though the other bowlers remained wicketless. The UAE will be happy to chase 151, but their batters will need to apply themselves well to cross the finish line.

Harsh Thaker's fighting fifty - Despite losing his partner, Harsh Thaker continued to fight and brought up a well-deserved half-century. He anchored the innings brilliantly before falling in the 18th over, looking to accelerate. While the recovery was commendable given the early collapse, the lower order couldn't quite capitalize fully at the death. Canada eventually finished with 150 runs on the board.

Canada end up with 150 on board - Canada had a nightmare start, losing three quick wickets inside the Powerplay to find themselves reeling at 39/3. Skipper Dilpreet Bajwa, Yuvraj Samra, and Nicholas Kirton all fell early, putting the team in deep trouble. However, Navneet Dhaliwal and Harsh Thaker steadied the ship with a gritty 58-run partnership. The recovery was halted in the 13th over by a freak dismissal. Dhaliwal was run out for 34 after his bat got stuck in the pitch just inches short of the crease while his foot was in the air.

Big upset in Colombo - Breaking news coming in from Colombo. ZIMBABWE HAVE BEATEN AUSTRALIA. They say history repeats itself and Zimbabwe have taken a leaf out of the 2007 T20 World Cup and have handed the Aussies a hefty defeat in the first match of the day. The first major upset of this year's competition and this result now blows Group B wide open. Australia will have to beat Sri Lanka in all likeliness and that won't be easy in these conditions, against a buoyant home crowd.

United Arab Emirates' skipper - Muhammad Waseem says that it is their second game on the same wicket, and they were looking to bat as well. He says that they will try to restrict them to a low total now. Me further says that they don't have any total in mind, but they will give their best. Ends by mentioning two changes in their side.
