Around 500 teachers of the breakaway faction blocked road and railway at Sindhukumarpara in Dhalai district yesterday, about 140 km from here.
Two others, including 2nd TSR Commandant Tapan Debbarma, were arrested earlier.
This is the second murder that took place nearly two months after the murder of young television journalist Santanu Bhowmik at Mandwai, West Tripura.
Debbarma, a senior Tripura Police Service (TPS) officer (1998-batch) waiting for an IPS nomination, was arrested on Wednesday morning. He and his personal guard, Nanda Reang, who was arrested on Tuesday, have been sent to 10 days police custody.
Senior BJP leader and Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma too described the incident as proof of “jungle-raj” under the Left Front in Tripura.
"Law and order has collapsed in Tripura and people have no right to their lives and property. Common people, specially women are now target of attacks by the cadres of CPI-M," Lekhi said.
A parliamentary team of the BJP would visit different parts of the state on November 10 to take a stock of the deteriorating law and order condition.
After Guwahati and Dibrugarh in Assam, Agartala was the third city in the northeast to get a Rajdhani.
The new Rajdhani Express will cover a distance of 2,413 km between Agartala and Anand Vihar station (in Delhi) in 36 hours, and have 15 stops in between.
