The Indian Express has now accessed medical records of a few more deceased Covid-19 patients or those suspected to have been infected, which are yet to be reported by BMC officially as Covid-19 deaths, an indication that there could be many more like them.
The court further refused to issue an order allowing Covid-19 testing for all, including asymptomatic persons or those who did not come in contact with Covid-19 positive patients.
The list of 52 applications attached with the order includes TikTok, Vigo, WeChat, SHAREit, Mi Store, Kwai, UC browser, etc.
The over 200-bedded hospital, managed by the Central Railway, has around 30 resident doctors who are paid monthly stipends.
The directive comes in the backdrop of the BMC on June 13 issuing a circular barring private laboratories from sharing test results with Covid-19 patients.

"A fund of Rs 8.90 crore has been approved for procuring swab tests and Rs 3.53 crore for other equipment required to conduct Covid-19 tests. Apart from this, Rs 7.15 crore is being allocated for other essential machinery and equipment for Sassoon Hospital," said Ajit Pawar.
