Jaspreet Singh is an award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker, currently working as Deputy Copy Editor at The Indian Express. Jaspreet specialises in covering international affairs, national politics, human rights, science and astronomy, and lifestyle and culture, with a special emphasis on Punjab and minority affairs.
With experience as an Assistant Producer at Firstpost, an Assistant Multimedia Producer at The Quint, and a Copy Editor at The Times of India, Chandigarh, he brings expertise in digital storytelling, video production, and editorial precision. He has also written for the BBC News (Asia/World Service) as a freelance journalist.
Passionate about global affairs, politics, investigations, and multimedia journalism, he crafts engaging stories that inform and resonate with audiences. Jaspreet’s reportage has been awarded with the prestigious UNFPA–Laadli Media Award for Gender Sensitivity, 2025, in the Web Documentary (English) category.
