The I&B Ministry was forced to issue a fresh termination order on April 24 removing Paragraph 2 in the first sacking order of February 27 which had cited irregularities and “failure to adhere to prescribed procedures” by Gupta as reasons for firing her from the post of NFDC Managing Director.
Gupta was sacked from government-owned NFDC on February 27 “with immediate effect” citing several irregularities and non-adherence to prescribed procedures.
The Directorate of Prosecution, while drawing up a list of the alleged conspirators to be booked for the irregular transfer of the hotels, dropped the name of one of the two IRCTC officials named by the Economic Offences Division in its preliminary enquiry.
