So far, Sikh devotees could only see the gurdwara in Pakistan with binoculars installed on a raised platform almost on the zero line at Dera Baba Nanak. There are no signs of construction in the Indian territory except for some red flags put up by the NHAI.
In a statement, chief of legal wing and party spokesman Jastaj Singh Arora said the online campaign orchestrated against the party was a well-thought out design to defame AAP. He rubbished it as propaganda against some leaders.
Bains said that being the “primary and founding member of PDA”, he will sternly oppose AAP in the alliance as its chief Arvind Kejriwal “apologised to former SAD minister Bikram Singh Majithia on his drug remark and betrayed the people of Punjab”.
Mann said all possibilities of an alliance were being explored so that it could put up a bold united face on issues and concerns surrounding Punjab and Punjabis and would show the doors to traditional political parties that are “knee-deep in corruption”.
Though a part of Punjab Democratic Alliance, SAD Taksali is still in talks with AAP. SAD Taksali president Ranjit Singh Brahmpura elaborates on the plan for PDA and possible changes in a conversation with The Indian Express.
