Ready to sail in 2018, this is how Titanic II, replica of the ‘unsinkable’ ship looks like

Prices have not been revealed but people are already requesting to be among the first passengers.

Titanic II, the replica of the 'unsinkable' Titanic which, in fact, sank on its maiden trip in 1912 killing over 1500 people, will set sail in 2018. Reportedly, Australian politician Clive Palmer is behind the project and intends to make sure all the safety measures are in place. “The new Titanic will of course have modern evacuation procedures, satellite controls, digital navigation and radar systems and all those things you’d expect on a 21st century ship,” James McDonald, global marketing director of Palmer’s company, Blue Star Line, told the Belfast Telegraph. The new nine-deck ship will be 885 feet long, 174 feet high with a maximum speed of 24 knots. It will accommodate 2,400 passengers – 177 more than the Titanic.
