As per CMR's India Mobile Handset Market Review Report for Q4 2019, Xiaomi at 29 per cent market share remained the smartphone market leader in India by registering 5 per cent YoY growth in CY2019. The Counterpoint market research data shows Xiaomi to hold 28 per cent of the market share with 5 per cent YoY growth for CY2019. The Canalys report shows Xiaomi to have a 29 per cent market share in 2019 with an annual growth of 5 per cent.

The number two smartphone vendor Samsung holds 23 per cent market share as per CMR and saw its smartphone market share decline by 2 per cent in CY2019. The Counterpoint research data claims that Samsung holds 21 per cent of market share with a decline of 5 per cent in CY2019. As per Canalys, Samsung's market share for CY 2019 is 22 per cent after it declined by 9 per cent.

As per CMR, with 16 per cent market share, Vivo saw an impressive YoY growth of 84 per cent in CY2019, driven by the sales of its S and Y series smartphones. The Counterpoint data shows a similar 16 per cent market share of Vivo with a 76 per cent YoY growth in CY 2019 for the company. The Canalys report claims Vivo to have a 17 per cent market share in the country with a 72 per cent growth in 2019.

OPPO registered 17 per cent YoY growth in CY 2019 to reach 8 per cent market share mark on the back of its successful A series, reported CMR. According to Couterpoint, Oppo holds 9 per cent market share with an YoY increase of 28 per cent in CY2019. As per Canalys, Oppo holds 11 per cent market share with a 44 per cent YoY increase in CY2019.

According to CMR, Realme enjoyed a YoY growth of 246 per cent in CY2019 to reach 10 per cent market share in the country. The report says that it was made possible by its strong product portfolio that brought forth industry-leading specs at aggressive value for money pricepoints, and backed by a strong market push. According to Counterpoint, Realme grew by 255 per cent in 2019 to grab 10 per cent market share. The Canalys report says that Realme gew by 473 per cent in CY2019 to get a hold of 11 per cent market share in the country.
