OnePlus has finally launched its OnePlus 8 series of smartphones, which includes two devices, the OnePlus 8 and the 8 Pro. Along with the smartphones, it has also launched a new wireless charger and a new pair of its Bullets wireless earphones. We take a closer look at the devices and what they offer. OnePlus 8 Pro will be made available in Onyx Black, Glacial Green and Ultramarine Blue colour options. Whereas, the OnePlus 8 will be made available in Onyx Black, Glacial Green and lnterstellar Glow colour options.
OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z are priced at $49.95. OnePlus 8 Pro sports a 6.78-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is considerably better than the 6.55-inch full HD+ 90Hz display of the OnePlus 8.
Both the devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with an Adreno 650 GPU. All of the 8 series smartphones come with 5G support inbuilt.
Both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro comes with 8GB of RAM/12GB of RAM paired with 128GB/256GB of storage. They run Google’s Android 10 operating system with the company’s own OxygenOS 10 skin on top.
OnePlus 8 is backed by a 4,300mAh battery with support for the company’s own Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology. The OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a 4,510mAh battery with support for the company’s own Warp Charge 30T technology and the Warp Charge 30 Wireless charging technology.
OnePlus 8 Pro also comes with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. This is the first phone from the company to come with an IP rating.
OnePlus 8 Pro spots a quad camera setup on the back, consisting of two 48MP sensors (primary and ultra-wide-angle) paired with an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 5MP colour sensor. It comes with both OIS and EIS paired with support to shoot 4K videos at 30fps.
OnePlus 8 just like the OnePlus 7T Pro comes with a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 48Mp primary senso paired with a 16MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2MP tertiary sensor. It also comes with support to record videos in 4K resolution at 30 fps.
On the front, both the OnePlus 8 and 8 pro sport a 16MP sensor for taking selfies.
