Technology Gallery Huawei P9 First Look: Leica dual-lens rear camera, Kirin processor and other key features Huawei P9 is the first ever smartphone to feature a Leica dual-lens camera setup with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage Huawei P9 is the latest smartphone from Chinese smartphone maker. The company which tops the smartphone sales in China almost every quarter is trying to follow up on the success of Nexus 6P with P9. Huawei P9 raises the smartphone game to a whole new level with a tie-up with Leica for its camera. Huawei P9 brings back the dual camera setup HTC introduced few years back. Huawei P9 has a design very similar to Nexus 6P. It has black band around its camera setup and protrudes way less than it does on Nexus 6P. Huawei P9 features a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by Huawei's very own HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor. Under the hood, there is 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. It has a rear fingerprint scanner like Nexus 6P. The highlight here, however, is the dual camera setup from Leica. Huawei has tied up with German optics maker Leica to produce a smartphone leading camera setup. The setup here features two 12MP image sensors - one for RGB and other for monochrome. A picture can retouched with widest aperture of f/0.95 and smallest aperture of f/16. Huawei P9's stand out feature is its rear camera but the Chinese company has also added an 8MP front camera. Huawei P9 is just 7mm thick and runs Emotion UI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and can be charged using an USB Type-C port. The device is available in White, Gold, Gray and Silver colour options.
