As you can see, in terms of size, the iPhone 6s has a bigger 4.7-inch display, while the iPhone SE (SE stands for special edition) comes with a 4-inch display. Both phones have the same ppi as far as the display quality goes (326 ppi). In terms of the outer-body design, the iPhone SE is closer to the iPhone 5S and comes with a thicker body, buttons like the iPhone 5S. Like the iPhone 6s, the new iPhone SE will come in a rose-gold colour option as well. The iPhone SE comes only in 16 and 64GB storage options, unlike iPhone 6s, which comes in a 128GB option also.

The iPhone SE is meant for those who loved smaller devices in their hands. The 4-inch display means that this phone will actually fit in your pocket quite easily, unlike say the bigger screen devices such as iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus. At 113 grams, the iPhone SE is also much lighter than the iPhone 6s which weighs around 143 grams. But unlike the iPhone 6s, the iPhone SE does not come with 3D Touch in the display, so you'll be giving up on one of the latest Apple features for the comfort of size.

While the iPhone SE might be smaller, that doesn't mean sub-par performance. Like the Apple iPhone 6s, the iPhone SE also comes with the latest A9 processor chip and the M9 motion co-processor. It works just as smoothly as the new flagship. In our review, we noticed that there times when phone actually felt faster, and smoother than a six-month-old iPhone 6s Plus. The phone works well in all conditions, and comes with the latest iOS 9.3.1 OS and supports all the latest software features that Apple provides in the 6s.

Just like the iPhone 6s, the Apple iPhone SE also supports Live Photos, even though there is no Touch ID. Note the older iPhone 6 does not have support for the same feature.

The iPhone SE comes with the same 12 megapixel camera that Apple has used in the iPhone 6s, which is great news. It also supports 4K recording, timelapse and does it well. In our review we felt that the camera performs quite well and gives the kind of photos you'd expect from iPhone, although its low-light performance is not as good as the iPhone 6s. Remember the iPhone 6s Plus though comes with support for OIS and that's something you won't get in the iPhone SE or the iPhone 6s.

The other problem with the iPhone SE might be the front camera. It has a 1.2 megapixel FaceTime camera, unlike the iPhone 6s which comes with a 5 megapixel front camera. If you're a selfie fan, the iPhone SE might not always live up to your expectations.

iPhone SE offers pretty decent battery life. It is by no means great, but will last you about 12 hours on Delhi’s patchy networks with LTE. With the battery saver mode, there could be a couple more hours you could add to the day.

The biggest concern with buying the iPhone SE is that the compact size might be hard to adjust to, especially for those using a bigger iPhone. Currently in India, the iPhone 6s is retailing at Rs 48,000 online (16GB), while the iPhone 6, which has an 8 megapixel camera is retailing at Rs 38,000 (16GB). For a lot of users the iPhone 6, 6s might make better value for money option.
