An all-round show saw New Zealand outplay India and register a 40-run victory in the second T20I. New Zealand level series 1-1.

India lost Shikhr Dhawan and Rohit Sharma in the second over, reducing them 11/2. Dhawan and Rohit, who had scored 80 each in the first T20I, managed to score 1 and 6 respectively.

Colin Munro, who scored a blistering knock of 109, became fourth player to hit two centuries in the shortest format. The right-handed batsman joins the Chris Gayle, Brendon McCllum and Evin Lewis. Riding on Munro's knock, New Zealand set India a target of 197.
