England took complete control of the opening Test against India in Rajkot with Alastair Cook and Haseed Hameed remaining unbeaten and unfazed on day 4. The opening duo produced a resolute display of batting in the final session to capitalise on India's middle order collapse to take a lead of 163 runs. Even with England in cruise control, draw seems probable in Gujarat. (Source: AP)

Virat Kohli got out in the most unfortunate manner when he went on the backfoot to Adil Rashid to pull to the leg side but in the process he stepped on to the leg stump. As England players celebrated, Kohli was left a confused batsman. This is infact the first instance of an Indian batsman getting out hit wicket since Lala Amarnath in 1949. (Source: PTI)

Where the middle order didn't push India's score, R Ashwin took the mantle as he does often with the bat and reduced England's lead as much as he could. R Ashwin scored 70 from 139 balls including seven fours. (Source: PTI)
