India vs Australia: India end 72-year wait for series win Down Under

With the series win, India will remain the top-ranked Test team in the world. There was no play on Day 5 of the fourth Test between India and Australia in Sydney.

It was anti-climatic in the end but India's 72-year wait for a series win in Australia was confirmed with a ball being bowled at the SCG on Monday. With rain playing spoilsport, Day 5 was washed out and India won the series 2-1. The visitors had drawn three series in the past Down Under but this is the first-ever win. (Source: Reuters)
