This week at Top Frame started out with Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again.

This week at Top Frame started out with Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again. A first of it’s kind initiative, the HRD issued a circular asking schools to make arrangements for a live feed where Modi would address the students. Schedules tweaked, lakhs of students were made available for the live projection and they were also given the opportunity to ask the Prime Minister questions.

In all the brouhaha, it was heart-rendering images of Srinagar under water were what dominated the news feeds across all boards. Indian Express reporters Muzamil Jaleel – winner of the Ramnath Goenka for Excellence in Journalism Awards for the year 2012 (REPORTING ON POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT (PRINT)) and photographer Tashi Tobgyal’s brave and personal reportage struck a cord amongst the readers. Images of death and devastation interspersed with photos of rescue and hope inundated Top Frame.

During this disaster, the world saw Modi move beyond the political arena and vow to help PoK as well as Pakistan with humanitarian relief during the floods.

In the international arena, America commemorated the 13th anniversary of 9/11 and American president Barack Obama was seen paying tribute to the victims.
