
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the top news and newsmaker in 2014. He led BJP to a historic election victory and formed a stable government at the Centre. Soon after taking over as PM, Modi made the first political move by inviting his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif for his swearing-in ceremony. He bowed at the Parliament gate and played the drum in Japan, walked alongside US President Barack Obama at the White House. Here we chronicle Modi's first year in office.
