Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Malaika Arora Khan and more: Fashion hits and misses of the week

Let's rewind and take a look at the best and worst dressed celebs of the week.

Hit: We loved how Jacqueline Fernandez paired her batik print sari by Sri Lankan designer Nithya Lamahewa with an unusual numbered blouse. She looked cheery, playful mood and lovely. That's all you need for a party right? (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: Athiya Shetty picked a white Self Portrait dress, light pink ankle-strap sandals and a matching colored Dior clutch for Manish Malhotra’s dinner. We love the casual yet chic vibe. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: Usually, she is not the one to disappoint us but Kangana Ranaut's style statements have been a bit off the radar these days. This time too the actor went overboard with a lace Gucci dress. Too much going on with this dress, don't you think? (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: Aditi Rao Hydari kept it casual with a black tunic, boyfriend jeans and a statement Ritika Sachdeva necklace. The jeans looked a little out of place here but we think she manged to carry it off quite well. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Sonakshi Sinha is seen sporting a casual blush, off-shoulder top and jeans. We think the actor carried the girl-next-door vibe really well. Our only problem is her understated make-up. Just kohl-lined eyes would have helped. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: Huma Qureshi chose a draped Rashmi Verma jersey dress, Aldo sandals and tassel earrings for the screening of Rocky Handsome. Even though she looked pretty neck up, we think the dress did not flatter her curves in any way. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: Lauren Gotlieb picked a Kiran Gupta gown for her appearance at the recent HT Most Stylish Awards. The actor-dancer decided to go sans jewellery. We think a pair of statement earrings would have elevated her look. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: She gets full points for being bold and stylish at the same time. Sonam Kapoor looked lovely in a black Ashi Studio gown, a Corto Moltedo clutch and simple black sandals. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: We loved the mint blue Dolly J dress and those gorgeous metallic Steve Madden pumps. What we didn't like is that Patralekha's look was too simple for a red carpet appearance, especially when you are attending HT Most Stylish Awards. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: We love coat dresses and Parineeti Chopra pairing that forest-green Intrinsic coat-dress at the HT Most Stylish Awards with tousled hair, smokey eyes and near nude lip was a welcome change. The actor finished out the look with an Atelier Mon ring, Louboutin clutch and strappy ASOS heels. We think she looked good. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: Alia Bhatt looked cute as ever in a Spring 2016 Georges Hobeika dress and pink pumps. One slight problem! We wish she had swapped that pink dress for something more elegant. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: First, topknot bun in any form is out of trend. Even though we appreciate how different she looked from her usual appearances, the strapless Antonio Grimaldo dress did not work for us. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: Kalki Koechlin picked a quirky Masaba printed suit for a recent red carpet appearance. We think she looked really smart. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: The revealing neckline and peplums just did not work well. Malaika Arora Khan who chose a skirt suit by Portuguese designer Diogo Miranda, a Maheep Kapoor for Satyani ring, a Leiber clutch and Zanotti sandals failed to impress us. A total miss, we say. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: Tisca Chopra chose an Urvashi Joneja suit with a pair of Sophia Webster mules and we think all those layering just did not work for the actor. It would have looked good on someone taller and a bit leaner. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)
