With Met Gala around the corner, check out fashion moments of Indian celebrities on the carpet

The fashion's biggest night -- Met Gala -- is officially just 2 days away! This year's theme is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.

Every year celebrities are invited to the MET to express themselves through fashion. This star-studded event welcomes attendees from all over the world. India's presence at the MET Gala has increased over the years. Here are a few fashion moments from Indian celebrities.

Priyanka Chopra turned heads in this ruby-red velvet gown by Ralph Lauren, paired with a bejewelled lacework headpiece. This ensemble was a perfect red carpet moment in 2018, for the theme of “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”. She came back to the MET in 2019, hand in hand with Nick Jonas. The theme was “Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion” and Priyanka did not shy away from an avant-garde look. She donned a corseted grey tulle gown, the colourful feathers designed by Dior, inspired by the character of Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. Alia Bhat took all our breaths away when she looked ethereal in this Sabyasachi sari at the 2024 Met Gala. The sari was hand embroidered with silk floss, beads sequins, semi-precious stones and fringed with glass beads.
