But with travelling slowly starting to happen again in the country, we are looking to cover some more hyper-local places, and bring you their brief history. The famous rock garden in Chandigarh welcomed tourists in large numbers after a really long time. The sculpture garden is a significant landmark in the city, and after the local administration issued guidelines to open places of public interest, people thronged the garden with their friends and family. The idyllic garden is also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand Saini -- a government official who is believed to have built it secretly in 1957.
