"As India marks its 75th year as a free nation and Bachchan turns 80, it is no exaggeration to say the actor could well be India’s mirror: the many dimensions of his life, in all their triumph and tumult, a reflection of this mercurial, magnificent country. What could do justice to the gravity of this moment but art?
