Violence over CAA spreads to Delhi’s Seelampur: Buses vandalised, stones pelted at police

The protest at Seelampur, according to a police officer, began around 12 pm. However, the march towards Jafrabad turned violent when protesters began pelting stones at police personnel, who responded by firing tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) closed down the entry and exit points at three metro stations — Welcome, Jaffrabad, Maujpur-Babarpur — in view of the protest.
