There were 4 proposers for Modi's nomination — Ganeshwar Shastri, long-time RSS functionary Baijnath Patel, Lalchand Kushwaha and Sanjay Sonkar. UP CM Yogi Adityanath was also present (PTI)

The PM held a roadshow in Varanasi a day before filing the nomination and vowed to serve the city and work more in his third term (PTI)
