
Prominent Bengali actor and former MP Tapas Paul breathed his last in a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday. He was 61. His funeral held on Wednesday saw All India Trinamool Congress' leaders and personalities from the Bengali entertainment industry in attendance.

He was a superstar of Bengali cinema who was a member of the Trinamool family. Tapas served the people as a two-term MP and MLA. We will miss him dearly.
