It's no secret that Bengali Beauty Rani Mukerji is a hardcore loyalist of designer Sabyasachi. The actress, who recently tied the knot to filmmaker Aditya Chopra on April 21, donned an elegant lehenga by the designer. Past events have also seen Rani showcasing stunning creations by Sabyasachi –salwar suits, anarkalis and saris. Take a look!
Rani picked a stunning net Sabyasachi lehenga-sari for the grand premiere of ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ in 2012. The intricate gold work on the sari with the red border worked beautifully for the Bengali diva.
For the music launch of her film ‘Talaash’ with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Rani once again donned a beautiful blush coloured sari with a maroon border paired with a sleeveless printed blouse. The big earrings and bangles finished off her look.
For the Yash Chopra National Memorial Award presentation, Rani Mukerji was a gorgeous sight in a black sheer sari with a rich gold border paired with a three-quarter sleeved blouse.
For the V Shantaram award show, Rani Mukerji picked a beautiful royal blue sari by Sabyasachi paired with a orange-red halter blouse. We loved it! The actress also showcased a monochrome kurta on red churridar pants with a dove blue net dupatta to yet another award ceremony. This look too scored high points with us.
For fellow actor Imran Khan's wedding reception, Rani turned heads with net mango coloured sari with a jeweled border and green strap blouse. For another award night, the actress was simple yet stunning in a black sari with a gold border matching her blouse.
For Durga Puja celebrations, the actress has almost always donned Sabyasachi creations. There are times she has even draped the sari in a typically Bengali fashion. While others have seen Rani in the traditional red and white sari. She has also been spotted wearing the Benarasi sari for the puja.
Rani's love for Sabyasachi is not new. In the earlier days, the actress wore a kurta by the designer to filmmaker Farah Khan’s housewarming party. However, we much prefer the saris.
For a television interview, Rani once again impressed us with her pick – a beige Sabyasachi churridar with black work on the bottom. Peep toes and a small bindi finished off her look. Another time she appeared on the show, Rani once again stuck to her loyalties when she wore a black and gold sari, also by Sabyasachi.
The Namaste America Obama Inaugural Event saw Rani looking dressy in a black and gold Sabyasachi sari that was also seen on Deepika Padukone in ‘Cocktail’.
Another winner was Rani's look at the launch of a television serial where she draped a striking red colored sari with a dark printed border. Big gold coloured earrings and a coy smile complemented her look.
