
The much-awaited Netflix original series Sacred Games is back with its second season. The series will see Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui reprising their roles of Sartaj Singh and Ganesh Gaitonde, respectively.

On Tuesday, Nawazuddin Siddiqui tweeted "GAITONDE is back", along with the trailer of Sacred Games season 2.

Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey join the series as Batya Abelman and Shahid Khan, respectively.

The new season will also see Pankaj Tripathi in a full-fledged role as the mysterious Guruji.

"We’re extremely excited to finally be able to share with the fans of Sacred Games what they’ve all been waiting for with bated breath - the date of its release on Netflix! This season is bigger, more compelling, and totally unexpected. Be prepared to discover a different side to each character as we take the audience on a tremendous journey, and address questions left unanswered last season," Vikramaditya Motwane said in a statement.

Sacred Games 2 is directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan. It is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra’s book of the same name.

Sacred Games 2 will start streaming on Netflix from August 15.
