Meet Jumanji The Next Level characters

Jumanji: The Next Level, a sequel to 2017 blockbuster Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, is all set to release this year. Ahead of the release, the makers shared character posters on Twitter. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas, who reprise their roles from the previous film, alongside newcomers Awkwafina, Danny Glover and Danny DeVito.

Dwayne Johnson is back as Dr Smolder Bravestone.

Jack Black will be playing Professor Sheldon.

Kevin Hart will reprise his role as Franklin Finbar, a zoologist.

Karen Gillan returns as Ruby Roundhouse, a commando with the talent of martial arts dancing.

American singer and actor Nick Jonas joins the team as Jefferson McDonough.

Awkwafina is the new addition to the cast. The makers have not revealed anything about her role in the film.

In the trailer, we are introduced to Bethany, played by Madison Iseman, in an avatar of a horse. But later in the trailer, we see her transforming into Professor Sheldon.

Jumanji: The Next Level will release on December 13.
