
Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull has released today which features Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani and Chunky Pandey from the previous two films of the successful franchise, while the rest of the cast on board is new. The films which have always managed to rib tickle the viewers is once again ready to present another comedy family drama. Abhishek Bachchan has replaced John Abraham in the film. A look at the previous two films.

The first ever Housefull released in the year 2010 which features Akshay Kumar along with Deepika Padukone, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Arjun Rampal. The film, which was directed by Sajid Khan also featured Malaika Arora Khan and Jacqueline in cameo appearances. Even though the film opened to negative reviews, it minted good money at the box office.

The film earned its actors and director several awards the following year.

This was Deepika Padukone's second film with Akshay Kumar, Chandni Chowk to China being the first one. The duo was later seen in Desi Boyz, though they weren't paired opposite each other.

Sajid Khan gave another blockbuster with Housefull 2 two years after the first one. The sequel brought in some new faces, while Akshay, Riteish and Boman Irani were already in board. The film starred Asin Thottumkal, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Zarine Khan, Shazahn Padamsee, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty.

The film became a commercial success in the year grossing good numbers not only in India but all across the globe. The film entered Rs. 100 cr club in mere 17 days of its release.

Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor played cousins in the film. Housefull 2 was a remake of 2003 Tamil movie 'Banda Paramasivam' which was a remake of Malayalam movie Mattupetti Machan.

Akshay Kumar helmed Housefull franchise is back with it’s third installment titled Housefull 3. Apart from Akshay, part three has the usual suspects in the form of Riteish Deshmukh and Chunkey Pandey. Abhishek Bachchan is the new addition having stepped into the shoes of John Abraham.

The movie sees the return of slapstick humour and will depend heavily on funny punchlines and the acting skills of Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek to tickle audience. The makers have kept oomph quotient at an all time high by roping in three sizzling beauties namely Nargis Fakhri, Lisa Haydon and Jacqueline Fernandes to team up opposite the lead actors.

The single most important factor that will guarantee maximum footfalls for the film is the almost 3000 plus screen numbers it has managed to receive for exhibition. Add to that the solo release factor and you have a winner in hand. While the film will collect moolah on the weekend, whether it will run ‘Housefull’ till the end of next week is something that its content will ultimately decide.
