From the 'Leader' of the masses to his bestial look in Baahubali, Rana Daggubati is one Tollywood star who took a high road to transformation as an actor. After his youthful image from his debut movie Leader, the actor took just six years to create a benchmark as an action star in Tollywood. Further, his journey towards acquiring a toned body to become a hunk and giving us fitness goals in the latest look of his upcoming films Baahubali 2 and Ghazi is worth a mention. With 20 odd movies in his kitty, the actor spread his wings in Tamil and Hindi film industry too. Leader was his first movie in 2010 when Rana changed that political cinematic landscape. The film is about the son of a chief minister who loses his father in an accident and has to take care of the state as the new CM. The Sekhar Kammula’s film was loosely based on the death of former Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Rajashekhar Reddy and the political turmoil and corruption that ensued in the state.

Rana also made his debut in Bollywood the following year with Dum Maaro Dum sharing screen space with Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu and Aditya Pancholi.

The game changer for the Tollywood star was director S S Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali that became one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema. He shot to fame playing a negative character. The actor also gained a lot of muscle to attain a beefy look for the role. Rana is reprising his role of the evil king Bhallala in its sequel Baahubali 2.

Rudhramadevi was also an epic movie based on the Kakatiya dynasty queen. The women-centric film with Anushka Shetty playing the titular role, also saw Rana Daggubati in a redefined image. The film bagged multiple awards.

Riding high on the success of Baahubali, the actor is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming war film Ghazi that will release in Telugu and Hindi. Rana will be seen essaying the role of a naval officer.
