Entertainment Gallery Five reasons why you should watch Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle Here are our five reasons why you should watch Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, is not known to be a good actor, but he has a huge fan following because he usually does the same kind of movies that are either action flicks or family-friendly adventures. He is back with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle alongside Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black. The film is the sequel to Robin Williams' 1995 classic and is about four kids who are pulled into the virtual world of a video-game (changed from the board game of the original film) and find themselves turned into the game's characters. Here are our five reasons why you should watch Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Rest of the cast: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has a strong cast even when you do not consider Dwayne Johnson. There is Karen Gillan, who has proved herself in a variety of roles in superhero, comedy and horror movies. Then there are Kevin Hart and Jack Black, comedic actors who have brought humour to this adventure. Story: The story of this film is intriguing. The board game has been replaced by video-game to perhaps reflect the times. And most of the film is set into the environs of a video-game and not the real world like the original film was set in. The story has been praised by most moviegoers. The film has beautifully fused action, adventure and comedy genres. Reimagined Jumanji: The makers had previously said that they were going to reimagine Jumanji and update it for the current generation. Although previously it was speculated that the film is a reboot, now it is revealed that the film is set 20 years after the original. William Teitler, who was the producer of the original too, has co-produced the sequel. Tribute to Robin Williams: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has a tribute to the legendary actor Robin Williams who tragically committed suicide in 2014. His character name, Alan Parrish, finds a mention in the film that is apparently set in the same jungle into which Alan was sucked into in the original film.
