Bollywood’s fresh jodis: Will their magic work?

When it comes to chemistry onscreen,we all have our favourite pairs. Be it Shah Rukh Khan – Kajol,Deepika – Ranbir or Salman – Sonakshi. If the lead actors share crackling chemistry onscreen, the film is a guaranteed success. However, most of the upcoming films are all geared up to introduce some never-seen-before pairs onscreen. Will the magic work?

Labelled as the reigning queen of Bollywood,Deepika Padukone has been on a roll so far with her past three flicks - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,Chennai Express and the most recent 'Ram-Leela'.
Even though she starred opposite former flame Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’,the audiences loved it. Next she appeared as Shah Rukh Khan's feisty love interest in ‘Chennai Express’,which proved to be extremely heart-warming. However, her last film ‘Ram-Leela’ opposite rumoured beau Ranveer Singh set temperatures soaring.

Deepika Padukone is rumoured to bee sharing screen space with our very own Salman Khan in Sooraj Bharjatiya's untitled project. Though they make an interesting pair, whether the duo will light up the screen together, remains to be seen.

Reports are rife that Deepika has also been cast by director Shekhar Kapur opposite Sushant Singh Rajput’s in 'Paani'.

Aamir Khan–Katrina Kaif: Lead actors of the much-awaited action flick,'Dhoom 3' – Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif may seem a bit unconventional as far as their pairing is concerned. We had our doubts but after getting a glimpse of Aamir's bad boy avatar and Katrina’s sexy onscreen presence,we’re hopeful.

Farhan Akhtar–Vidya Balan: When two of the most talented actors in the industry get together, expectations are bound to be sky-high.
Farhan Akhtar, who garnered much praise for his performance in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' will play Natinal Award-winning actress Vidya Balan's husband in the rom-com ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’. From the first promos of the movie, the two seem to share a rocking chemistry.

Vidya will also be romanced by a younger actor Ali Fazal in 'Bobby Jasoos'.

Sonam Kapoor–Ayushmaan Khurrana: We all loved Sonam Kapoor in 'Raanjhanna' and off course Ayushmann Khurrana won a million hearts with ‘Vicky Donor’. The duo will be seen together in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Bewakoofian’. They looks super-cute together and we hear there has been much bonding going on during the filming of the romantic comedy flick.

Sonakshi Sinha–Arjun Kapoor: After romancing actors a tad older to her onscreen like Salman Khan,Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar,Desi Belle Sonakshi Sinha seems to be keen on working with actors in her age group. She was seen in 'Lootera' with Ranveer Singh and in her next 'R... Rajkumar',she has Shahid Kapoor paired opposite her. She will also appear opposite heartthrob,Arjun Kapoor in Boney Kapoor’s home production, which is a remake of South film,‘Okkadu’,directed by Amit Sharma.

Salman Khan–Sana Khan–Daisy Shah : Salman Khan who was last seen in ‘Dabangg 2’ opposite Sonakshi Sinha, will be romancing two lovely ladies in his next flick,'Jai Ho'. Directed by brother Sohail Khan, the action film, stars Sana Khan of ‘Bigg Boss’ fame and South actress Daisy Shah. Salman and Daisy were recently spotted shooting for a romantic song in Romania.

Anushka Sharma–Aamir Khan–Sushant Singh Rajput: Directed by Rajkumar Hirani,‘Peekay’,which is said to be a political satire stars Aamir Khan,Sushant Singh Rajput and Anushka Sharma.

Rumour has it that Anushka will be seen romancing both the gentlemen. Stories about Aamir sharing the 'longest kiss' ever with Anushka were also doing the sounds. Well, lets wait and see if it's true!

Shahid Kapoor–Shraddha Kapoor: 'Aashiqui 2' actress Shraddha Kapoor created headlines when she opted out of Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Milan Talkies' along with the then lead actor of the flick,Shahid Kapoor. The pair instead have signed up for Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Haider',which is said to be a Bollywood adaptation of Shakespearean play,‘Hamlet’. The duo recently wrapped up the first shoot of 'Haider.'

Alia Bhatt–Arjun Kapoor–Randeep Hooda: 'Student of the Year' actress Alia Bhatt will be seen opposite ‘Murder’ actor Randeep Hooda in Imtiaz Ali's 'Highway'.

Highway is a story of two people from very different backgrounds played by Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt who take the road trip across six states in a truck.

The bubbly actress will then play a vivacious Tamil Brahmin girl in ‘2 States’ based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name, opposite Arjun Kapoor.

Ajay Devgn–Deepika–Shraddha–Yaami Gautam: After getting lucky with Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’,Deepika might be romancing Ajay Devgn in Shetty's 'Singham 2'. However, reports suggest that Shraddha Kapoor is also in the race to star opposite Ajay Devgn. The actress is yet to be finalised.
