Airlift starring Akshay Kumar has collected Rs 100 crore at the box office in 10 days of its release. The film, which opened to good reviews from the critics and audience, earned Rs 8.26 crore on Sunday (January 31) and Rs. 2.53 cr on Monday (February 1) thus taking the grand total to Rs 105.29 cr. Also starring Nimrat Kaur and Purab Kohli, Airlift has been going strong with each passing day. Despite two releases – Sunny Leone’s Mastizaade and Madhavan’s Saala Khadoos, the film did good business on weekend. Taran Adarsh, who has been tweeting figures of Arilift’s box office collections, wrote: “#Airlift has a FANTASTIC Sunday. Crosses ₹ 100 cr mark. [Week 2] Fri 4.50 cr, Sat 6.50 cr, Sun 8.26 cr. Total: ₹ 102.76 cr. India biz.”Airlift has become Akshay Kumar’s fourth film to cross the 100 cr mark. Earlier his films like Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore (2012) and Holiday (2014) have achieved this feat. Sunny Leone’s Mastizaade, which opened to negative to bad reviews on Janaury 29, has collected Rs 18.45 crore in first two days at the box office. Mastizaade, which had collected Rs 5.59 crore on its opening day has registered a steady growth in its figures on Day 2 and Day 3.On Day 2, the movie collected Rs 6.11 cr and on Sunday it earned Rs 6.75 crore. The film has earned a total of Rs. 18.45 cr in the opening weekend. Mastizaade, which has Sunny Leone in a double role for the first time, also stars Vir Das and Tusshar Kapoor in leading roles. Mastizaade is also Sunny Leone’s third highest Opening Day grosser with a collection of Rs. 5.59 cr. The film, though has surpassed a few releases of the actress, it is Ragini MMS 2 that still holds the first position with a collection of Rs. 8.43 crore, followed by Sunny Leone’s debut film Jism 2 which had collected Rs. 6.20 crore on its Opening Day.
