The QS World University rankings 2023 have been revealed and some of the major Indian universities such as Du, JNU and Jamia Milia Islamia have slipped in their rankings.

This year, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru has emerged as the highest ranked Indian institute. The university has risen 31 places in a year.
IISc was followed by IIT-Bombay, which earned an overall score of 46.7 and ranked 172 on the list.
IIT-Bombay was closely followed by IIT-Delhi, which ranked 174 with an overall score of 46.5. IIT Delhi improved its ranking by eleven places.
With an overall score of 38.6, IIT Madras bagged the 250th rank on the list this year.
IIT Kanpur climbed thirteen ranks and was placed at 264th rank this year, with an overall score of 37.6.
Next Indian university on the list is IIT Kharagpur, which ranked 270 with a score of 37.2.
IIT Roorkee rose by 31 places and was placed at 369th rank with a score of 29.9.
With an overall score of 29.3 and a rank of 384, IIT Guwahati showed improvement by climbing eleven places.
IIT Indore featured on this list for the first time with an overall score of 28.7, and a rank of 396.
