
Punjab Secondary Education Board (PSEB) has announced Class 12 result 2016 on May 13. The senior secondary (10+2) examination was held from March 1 and ended on April 5. Over three lakh students appeared for the exam. The girls have outperformed boys by scoring 84.3 pass percent while boys have registered 71.12. About 114 merit holders are from Ludhiana.

As many as 3,18,453 have appeared for this year's PSEB Class 12 exam, out of which 2,44,487 have passed. This year's pass percentage is 76.77 %, slightly higher from last year's 76.24 %.

Ludhiana's Mahima Nagpal has achieved the top spot at 99.56 per cent. Komal Rani from Patiala is at second slot with 99.33 per cent marks while Rhea of Ludhiana has got the third spot with 98.67 per cent marks.

Learning from last year’s ‘mistake’ when students and parents protested over a combined merit list that was issued for those ‘with sports’ and ‘without sports’ for Class 12, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will issue two merit lists this year.
