Does it take you long to get over the debacle of a film, like Knockout and No Problem?
I don’t take even a day. It does not affect me at all and neither do I feel the need to analyse what went wrong with a film. See,it’s not important that all my films work and it’s not possible for anybody to give hits all the time.

What are you playing in your next comedy,David Dhawan’s Rascals?
I play a sexy girl who is in love with three guys,Sanjay Dutt,Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal. She’s young, restless and fools around with all three. There is also another comedy,Indra Kumar’s Double Dhamaal in which I play Sanjay’s secretary. The interaction between all the actors in the film is fabulous.

After playing intense parts in films like Gangster and Fashion, did you find it difficult to do comedy?
I won’t deny that at first it was tough. Enacting intense parts generally requires you to do things that you have experienced. But for comedy you land up doing things which are unreal and you are in situations you have never experienced.

So what is the toughest thing about comedy?
Every movement and expression is from one’s imagination. The most important thing is to look convincing, otherwise the body language looks awkward. Looking real is the real challenge when doing comedy.

How would you describe experienced directors like Anees Bazmee,David Dhawan and Indra Kumar?
I like their simplicity. They are mature and seasoned and there is a certain calmness and grace about them, which comes with success and time. They give out the same vibes, like my mom who is very comfortable working as a teacher in a government school for 20 years. The younger lot are generally very restless.

You also have two action thrillers,Priyadarshan’s Tez and Rajkumar Santoshi’s Power?
Both are action films, but I have different roles. Like in Tez,I play Ajay’s wife. It’s different from what I have played before,as I play a non-glamorous middle-class housewife. Power,on the other hand,is action-oriented,where you will see me kicking butt.

Are you doing Ekta Kapoor’s horror film Raginni MMS?
I have been approached for it,but I haven’t signed the film as yet.

So when will we see you doing intense roles again?
I have never related to the films I have done in the past. I would rather make people happy, laugh and share nice moments. It’s important that when people think of me they think of happiness and not of what makes them cry. For sometime now,I want to do comedy.

And what is the real Kangna like?
I don’t know the impression people have about me but I am just like any other normal, young girl who likes to dress up,go out and be with family and friends.

What does the tattoo on your neck signify?
I have been trying to get a tattoo for quite a while, but got down to it recently. I designed a crown, angel wings and a rose. It’s a feminine goddess and a symbol of victory.
