Former President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam will address the sixth annual Chintan Shibir organised by the state government from December 4 to 6. This comes within a year of the last Chintan Shibir in February this year. The first such meet was held at the Kevadia Colony in 2003.
At the February meet,which was held at the Gujarat Forest Research Institute in Gandhinagar,the conversion of Praveshotsav to Gunotsav and introduction of school rating system had been suggested.
The upcoming Chintan Shibir will have group discussions on Lessons from Gunotsav: Steps for future.
The state government has identified 2010 as the Swarnim Gujarat Year. Therefore,the Chintan Shibir will have Swarnim Gujarat: Fifty golden aims/ steps under discussion on the second day of the open discussion and recommendation exercise.
Also,training for skill upgradation and employability,future strategies in urban governance,strengthening of basic administration and issues of water management will be discussed during the meet.
