George under fire

Vincent George,who survived several controversies to stay in the personal staff of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi,is getting flak from Congressmen for what they believe is his undue interference in party matters. In an apparent bid to help his protégé Bihar PCC chief Anil Sharma,who is under attack from his colleagues for alleged irregularities in ticket distribution in the recent Lok Sabha election,George has been calling leaders from the state asking them to give up their opposition to Sharma. Recently,he called a party MLA from the state and asked him to meet the Congress president and impress on her that Sharma was doing a great jobnotwithstanding the partys poor show in the recent electionand he should be given some more time to revive the partys fortune in the state.
